Catalan Strategy on Energy Renovation in Buildings (ECREE)
Taking advantage of the celebration of the annual Forum of the Catalan Strategy on Energy Renovation in Buildings (ECREE), last July 14th at the Palau Robert (Robert Palace) in Barcelona city, Mr Xavier Cipriano, from CIMNE-UPC, performed a presentation of the EDI-Net project, in which the most relevant aspects of the project and its relation to the ECREE’s objectives (similar to the EU’s H2020) were put in value.
This meeting, that gathers over 100 attendants, representing the whole building sector and energy services in Catalonia, as well as all directly involved Public Administrations (Regional Government [Generalitat], local administrations, public agencies, etc.), takes place every year in order to coordinate the activities of the ECREE Strategy towards the accomplishment of the Catalan objectives towards sustainable building and greening energy supply in the urban frameworks.
There were also participants from different institutions, such as the Catalan Energy Institute (ICAEN), CIMNE-UPC, several regional government departments, Barcelona City council, etc., and it ended with the delivery of diplomas to the award-winning projects that were recognised as emblematic energy renovation projects within Catalonia by the ECREE’s Executive Council.
